Apple Core Member Spotlight: James

James is the bass player of the band and being left-handed is the proud owner of Hofner bass. He’s also an active songwriter, vocalist and on occasion a rhythm guitarist and keyboard player.

It has been a long time ambition to join a Beatles covers or tribute band, his quest began in 2001 at the age of 17, playing his first ever gig at the Cavern (sadly in East London not Liverpool) and like George Harrison in Hamburg got busted for being under age and thrown out half way through a gig. James is the most recent member of the band who previously worked with the ‘PlasticSouls' and ‘The RoofTops.

‘A Hard Day’s Night’ was the first CD ever owned by James (bought for him by his dad when he was 8 years old) and has been a Beatle fan ever since. He first picked up a guitar at the age of 14 and learnt to play a few Beatles songs by the time he was 15, but moved on to keyboard and didn't pick up a guitar again until he was 17.

Being the newest member of The Apple Core Beatles playing bass and keyboard, James is very proud to still be paying tribute to the Greatest Band of all time!
